Where are the Women Leaders?
Recently CPA firms and associations have become increasingly aware of their enormous investments in hiring, training, and developing women, only to have them walk out the door as careers progress. Women make up almost 60% of all accounting college graduates. However, as women gain career experience, the mix in public accounting drops to around 30% of all managers, and about 19% of all partners. How do you retain your women and create the conditions to optimize their performance? This topic discusses the reasons for the retention problem and what you can do to develop and retain your best and brightest women.

This series of separate one day workshops is perfect for firms interested in developing their women professionals. Each workshop focuses on a different theme: Becoming a Professional, Business Development, Powerful Communications, Personal Branding, and Work/Life Balance.
Although a significant number of women CPAs populate the profession, one of the key skills preventing their advancement is the lack of business development
success. Women are often uncomfortable networking and developing opportunities when they don't have the confidence to execute
successfully. This one day Workshop is designed to transfer knowledge and skills to develop women CPAs of today into partner leaders of tomorrow.
The annual Forum for Women in Accounting, co-sponsored with The Advisory Board, and held in the spring, is the perfect place for senior women and up-and-comers to observe role models, learn new leadership skills, and network with other successful women CPAs. – CLICK HERE for more details.
